Look Penny, hits wont make you money, conversions make you money. There’s millions of squeeze pages out there trying to sale something, what makes yours any different? You need to inspire people with you knowledge and value.

You need to position yourself as an expert…

Not only do you need to know who your target market is, they want to know who you are, and to do that, you need to add value with content you create.

you create content that will educate your target market, which positions you as an expert, and with that, people will come to you, as apposed to you spending money on advertising.

You really want to be care full as you may not always be getting the full truth. The best way to do your research is through non-biased independent resources that list online schools. I assume you are talking about world cup of Football (soccer). Nike did online marketing during the 2006 Football world cup in Germany. The campaign was called Joga Bonita (means play beautiful in Portuguese). It was a portal developed by Nike along with Google. It was based on a social networking concept.

This featured top footballers like Ronaldinho, Fabio Cannavaro, Ronaldo, Adriano, Robinho, Mark Bresciano, Robbie Keane, Cesc Fàbregas, Wayne Rooney, Tim Howard, Zlatan Ibrahimovi?, Shinji Ono, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Carlos Tévez, Hidetoshi Nakata, Thierry Henry and more. Videos featuring these stars aired on TV too.

Start with Google webmaster official blogs and participate productively in reputed forums like webmasterworld.

People who have been in your shoes are kinder when they see sincerity and are open to guiding you down the right path.

etc; it is the practice that takes years in perfecting your skills.
